Secondhand Hero ("we") is a used car buyer's agent run by Roger in Eastwood, NSW. This page explains what we collect when you use secondhandhero.com.au, why, and who we share it with.
What you give us
- Your email address, when you sign up for the free checklist. We store it with Cloudflare and use it to send you the checklist and occasional related emails. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Your name, email, phone number, the listing you're looking at and your answers, when you ask us to negotiate on a car. These are emailed to Roger's inbox (Google Workspace) and kept there. We use them to reply to you and to help with that car.
We never sell your details.
Advertising with Meta (Facebook and Instagram)
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. To learn which ads work, when you view a page, sign up for the checklist, ask us to negotiate on a car, or click to book a call, we tell Meta that it happened. This goes through Cloudflare, which runs our website. Along with it, Meta receives your IP address and browser details, and, when you sign up or ask us to negotiate, your email address in scrambled (hashed) form, which Cloudflare scrambles before it reaches Meta. Cookies may also be set in your browser for Meta to recognise you. Meta uses this under its own privacy policy. You can control the ads you see in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.
